Even on legitimate marketplaces there are scammers. ALWAYS take time to verify vendors before purchase.

4.8+ with many reviews
Many sales
100+ completed transactions
PGP
Has active PGP key
Active long time
6+ months of activity
Warning signs (Red flags)
- 🚩 New vendor without history
- 🚩 Asks for direct payment (outside escrow)
- 🚩 Prices that are "too good to be true"
- 🚩 Refuses to use PGP
- 🚩 Many negative reviews recently
- 🚩 Pressures you to buy quickly
- 🚩 Wants to communicate outside platform
Verification checklist
Before your first purchase from a vendor:
How to read reviews correctly
Look for:
- ✓ Detailed reviews (not just "good")
- ✓ Delivery times mentioned
- ✓ Quality comments
- ✓ How vendor handled problems
Be suspicious of:
- ⚠️ Many short, generic positive reviews
- ⚠️ Sudden increase in negative reviews
- ⚠️ Reviews that seem "bought" or fake
ALWAYS use escrow

❌ NEVER FE (Finalize Early)
If a vendor asks you to "finalize early" (pay before delivery) it's ALWAYS a scam. Even trusted vendors can "exit scam".
